What to Expect

Organisational life carries many physical and mental demands and effective leaders are those who maintain a focus on lifelong learning and development. The Henley Africa Management Retreat extends the school’s famous personal development focus and is available exclusively to graduates of the Henley Africa MBA.

Bring your dynamic curiosity to a programme of self-discovery. There will be plenty of space to stop and think and deepen your awareness. The Manager's Retreat is a holistic and life-affirming exploration of your potential, and our starting point is our definition of Personal Development as ‘the identification and removal of those restraints that limit the likelihood of sustainable individual, organisational, social and environmental health and wellbeing’.

The programme consists of two and half days of self-reflection in a tranquil space that is conducive to focusing on new ways to understand yourself and how you see your past and future in the company of equally curious fellow alumni.

Deepen your understanding of who you are

The Manager's Retreat is a facilitated space for individuals who have completed their MBA. It will deepen your understanding of who you are and renew your personal development. You own what you find, including new ways of understanding yourself, changes in how you see your past and future, decision points and clarity in matters of importance to you. You will meet, network and learn from fellow alumni with experience and knowledge that can enlighten you. Our systemic approach informs us, and the three key themes for the retreat are sense-makingmeaning-making, and health and well-being
